There are many parallels that exist between science and art from the conception of an idea or theory, the experimentation and exploration of it, and the creation / realization of the end result. Schema is a wall sculpture that examines the path from idea to outcome in a hybrid of schematic drawings and three-dimensional objects. The imagery and objects reference things that may be found in a scientific laboratory, a machine shop or art studio. In Schema, I intend to explore the creative processes of both art and science while hinting at the principles and laws of physics.
