Public Art > 2014 National Special Olympics Cauldron

The National Special Olympics Committee and Bow & Arrow productions commissioned the UNI Public Art Incubator to design, engineer, and create the 2014 National Special Olympics Games Cauldron held in Newark, NJ. The design (based on the games’ logo) of the cauldron is to allow athletes and officials to assemble the components as part of the opening ceremonies. LED’s were installed to illuminate laser cut words representing the core values of the games as a part of the torch lighting.

After the ceremonies, the cauldron was permanently installed in Newark, NJ at the Special Olympics Offices.
